and if he/she is a professional hairdresser , all you have to do is to say that i want to get a suitable layered hairstyle for me with another request such as having a volume or not… a professional hairdressor can do whatever easily without clients worrying about their wishes. it ‘is a difference between professional and amateur.

littleazn17~~ hi~~. the difference between long, medium and short layers is only standard to distinghish layers. so with these cannot make every clients’ hair done and adjusted for best suitable layered hairstyles. in my case, when cutting hair layered, i consider clients’ characteristics such as hair-condition, face-condition, body- condition and their life style as well as their occupation.
@littleazn17 it really depends on how long your hair is, and what length of layers you want. If you have long hair, just tell them you want layers up to whatever length. for example chin length layers. If you have short hair i’d just explain to them the look you want. Short layers are the same length all over the head, and long layers get progressively longer from top to bottom so they are used on long hair
What’s the difference between short layers and long layers? Like short layers makes your hair look like it has more volume?? I don’t know which type of layers to ask for. If i just ask for layers in my hair what kind of layers will do they for me?
